Man found shot inside Biddle House shelter


ST. LOUIS – One man was rushed to the hospital after being found shot inside the city-run homeless shelter.

According to a spokesperson for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened just after 3 p.m.

The victim, a resident of the Biddle Housing Opportunity Center, was shot in the back and managed to run two blocks to the shelter itself, located at N. 13th and Biddle streets.

Police said the victim was conscious and breathing.

(Update: A prior version of the story said the victim was shot inside the shelter. We later received information clarifying details on the crime.)
