ST. LOUIS – Phone and computer scheduling issues are impacting some Metro Call-A-Ride customers on Tuesday.
According to Taulby Roach, Bi-State Development President and CEO, Metro Transit was the target of a cyberattack on Monday.
“To defend from such a malicious action, we froze our systems and immediately got to work to deny access to critical information and protect our systems,” said Roach.”
IT teams are working to restore the services. The Call-A-Ride scheduling system and Metro’s email’s services are still down.
Metro Transit says it can only provide trips to pre-arranged appointments as they work to restore the reservation and phone system.
Metro Transit apologizes for the inconvenience and says it will notify customers when the system is restored.
