ST. LOUIS – A warning from MoDOT: as cooler temperatures move into the area and nights become longer, there may be an increase in wild animals on the roadways.
Missouri ranks tenth in the country for the most potential vehicle collisions with animals. MoDOT warns you if you find yourself in a potential crash situation with an animal.
Do not swerve to avoid hitting them, be cautious, and scan both sides of the road regularly.
