Police confirm human remains were found in north St. Louis County

FLORISSANT, Mo. – St. Louis County Police Department Crimes Against Persons Detectives confirmed that what was found in the 6700 block of Finchdale Court Friday afternoon are human remains.

Police were called to the area around 1:30 p.m. for what appeared to be human remains in a nearby creek.

Police, K-9 Units, and Crime Scene Unit Vans were parked on what neighbors describe as a usually quiet cul-de-sac. Bommarito Automotive Group Skyfox exclusively captured aerial footage of authorities searching the nearby creek.

“It was scary, unsettling,” neighbor Brianna Haley said.

Neighbors said this was shocking.

“It’s the first time I’ve heard of something like that happening around here,” Edward Martin said.

“The kids are able to just run and play. We don’t have many people coming in and out. It’s the perfect neighborhood really; it was kind of scary when we heard,” Haley said.

Neighbors are left with questions as police continue to investigate.”What happened, is this a dumping ground, what happened, should we get security cameras,” Maria Wallace said.
