ST. LOUIS – A homicide investigation is underway after a woman died in south St. Louis Monday.

Police have identified Robin Bonds, 56, as the victim. Next of kin has been notified. Police say Bonds suffered multiple lacerations.

Police responded to the shooting around 4:30 p.m. Monday in the 4200 block of Michigan Avenue near the Dutchtown neighborhood. Bonds was found unconscious and deceased in an apartment.

Investigators say the shooting possibly stemmed from an argument. A woman in her 40s in suspected in Bonds’ death, though police have not released her identity.
