ST. LOUIS – City aldermen are introducing a new bill to update the city’s drug laws.
They’ll update the definitions of “controlled substances” and “narcotics,” making exceptions for marijuana. The bill would make it illegal to smoke marijuana on public property.
Another bill would change the city charter to increase the fine for drug violations from $500 to $1,000. Voters would have the final say.
