(KTVI) – Sequestration furloughs are currently affecting workers at Scott Air Force Base. Now there’s word some new jobs are coming to the base.
A U.S. Army transportation unit has relocated to the base from Pennsylvania, bringing with it at least a dozen jobs. The Belleville News-Democrat reports the move happened early last month.
A command spokesperson says other jobs connected with private contractors working with the unit could also be coming to Scott Air Force Base.
