(KTVI) – When a stranger set down next to her daughter on an airplane, her daughter called him, “daddy.”   The stranger did not correct the autistic child, but let the little girl hold conversation after conversation with him.

Shannel Mouland told the New York Daily News she was so grateful to the man in seat “16C” that she wrote a thank you note on her blog, Go Team Kate,  expressing her gratitude for his kindness to her daughter.

Mouland says she was on a U.S. Airways flight from Philadelphia to Maine and was anxious because traveling with an autistic child can sometimes be unnerving.

But she says the “businessman” entertained her daughter throughout the flight and even offered help when the little girl seems to be at her wits end by the end of the flight.
