ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-You could soon see a spike in your sewer bill. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that MSD will submit a proposal next month to hike sewer rates through 2020. Officials say they need the funds to pay for upgrades to the region’s aging sewer system.

The average sewer bill could rise to nearly $80 a month. MSD also plans to propose new charges to pay for storm water fixes.
