MT. OLIVE, IL. (KPLR) – Teachers in Mt. Olive, Illinois are closer to striking. They have voted to file an intent to strike.
They are currently working under the terms of a contract which expired the day before school started this year.
The union says they have made progress but failed to reach an agreement on money.
The school district has proposed a pay cut from last year and a cut to the contribution for health insurance among other issues.
