HOUSE SPRINGS, MO (KTVI) – Jefferson County authorities are scratching their heads and trying to solve the mysterious deaths of a husband and wife in House Springs.
Neighbors called police Monday afternoon to check on the residents of a mobile home on Darren Drive. Police found the trailer locked, but were able to get inside. There they found the 54-year-old husband and his 50-year-old wife dead.
Police tell Fox 2 News there were no signs of trauma and no signs of foul play. A check of the air inside the trailer also indicated no elevated levels of carbon monoxide. Medical examiners office personnel were called and removed both bodies for autopsy.
Toxicology tests may help investigators solve the mystery behind the deaths. Police tell Fox 2 News a check of their records did not indicate any previous calls for police to the residence.
