Northwest Missouri State Plans Election Eve Lecture

MARYVILLE, Mo. (AP) _ Northwest Missouri State University is planning an election eve debate.

“Red vs. Blue: What the 2012 Election Means for You” will feature conservative columnist Jonah Goldberg and the former editor of The New Republic, Peter Beinart.

Both speakers have written books. Goldberg’s titles include “Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left from Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning.” Beinart is the author of “The Good Fight: Why Liberals _ And Only Liberals _ Can Win the War on Terror and Make America Great Again.”

There is no cost to attend the 7:30 p.m. debate Monday in the Mary Linn Auditorium at the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts. A political science professor will moderate.
