(CNN) — Tied with his Republican contender Mitt Romney in Colorado, and possessing only a slight advantage in Nevada, President Obama is pushing to lock up the last few undecided voters with just 11 days before the election.
Having just completed his “America Forward” tour, which landed Obama in six of nine key swing states, the president will participate in 10 interviews Friday that will air in seven of the battleground states.
Obama will make his case on MTV with Sway Calloway Friday evening in hopes of renewing the excitement of the younger voting bloc and winning over those viewers who are still on the fence. He will hold a question and answer period in the special “Ask Obama Live: An MTV Interview with the President” from the Blue Room. Winning the support of the younger demographic is key for him as college students and the youth vote made up a significant portion of his voting base last election. In 2008 he won two-thirds of voters between the ages of 18 and 29.
In addition to his MTV appearance Obama will tape radio interviews with hosts Michael Smerconish for the “Michael Smerconish Show” and April Ryan for Urban Radio Networks.
The campaign has yet to name the outlets for the president’s local affiliate interviews.
