O’FALLON, MO (KTVI) – Ten children got to go on a shopping spree Saturday Courtesy of the O’Fallon Police Department.  It was the department’s first “Shop with a Cop” event.

The children were selected with assistance from the Fort Zumwalt School District staff.

The kids were provided with lunch and a gift from McDonalds and a new bike.

The officers say they were impressed that many of the kids were excited to spend the money on their siblings and parents.

After lunch each child got $300 to spend at Walmart and the police officers helped the kids push their cart full of goodies around the store.
