DES PERES, MO (KTVI) – A St. Louis County police officer suffered minor injuries Friday after his patrol car collided with a SUV. The crash happened at 12900 Manchester Road, in front of a Red Robin restaurant. The officer was traveling east around 1:00pm when the driver of the SUV veered into his lane.
The officer attempted to avoid the other vehicle, but the two bumped. The SUV went right and the patrol car went left, striking a utility pole.
The police officer suffered burns from the airbag deployment. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. The SUV driver, identified only as a female, also suffered minor injuries.
No charges will be filed.
