Oklahoma Tornado Widest Ever Recorded On Earth

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (KFOR) – The National Weather Service says the tornado in Oklahoma City on Friday is the widest ever recorded on Earth. The tornado that hit El Reno and Union City is rated an EF-5; it was 2.6 miles wide. Nebraska previously held the record for a 2.5 mile-wide F-4 from May 2004.
