ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - An overnight police chase starts in Richmond Heights and ends in west St. Louis. One person is in custody and possibly two others are on the loose.

Police caught one person in the parking lot of the old FOX 2 building at Hampton and Berthold.  The Grand Prix that the suspects were in crashed just off the Hampton exit on Interstate 64/Highway 40.

Officials say the people inside the car ran away. One of them, a woman, was caught in our old parking lot.  Police say one or two others were able to get away by running into the nearby Highland office complex.

This all started when Richmond Heights police tried to pull the Grand Prix over as a possible stolen car. That's when the car allegedly sped off, starting the pursuit.  It went down I-64/40 east until the car crashed just off the Hampton exit.

St. Louis City police joined in the search for the one or two male suspects who got away. Canines and a helicopter were brought out, but police did not catch the other one or two male suspects.

More information will be released Wednesday morning by the Richmond Heights Police Department.
