ST. LOUIS - One person is in critical contion Monday after an early morning fire.
The St. Louis Fire Department responded to heavy smoke around 1:30 a.m. in the 3400 block of Samuel Sheperad in Midtown St. Louis.
Fire crews rescued a person from the second floor of the Catholic-based transitional living facility.
He was later taken to the area hospital.
