Over 1,000 make the ”Run for the Cookies”

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO. (KTVI) – Over 1,400 Girl Scouts, parents, and troop leader participated in the second annual “Run for the Cookies” Saturday.  Participants had the choice of doing a five or one mile walk/run.

The event was held in Maryland Heights, at the headquarters of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri.

Medals were handed out to the winners of each event, along with hot chocolate and s’mores.

The walk/run coincides the start of selling Girl Scout Cookies on January 11th.
