Over 1,000 without power in Fairview Heights

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, IL (KTVI) – A power outage in Fairview Heights is affecting over 1,000 Ameren customers. People living in parts of the area reported a drop in service after 8am. There are 8,858 people who have Ameren Illinois power in the 62208 zipcode.

A warming center has been set up. The Fairview Heights Police Department posted this release, “Due to power outages in the city, the Caseyville Township building on Bunkum Road has been opened as a warming center. Residents without power are encourage to go to the warming center. If transportation is needed, please call the Fairview Heights Police at 618-489-2100. Ameren is working quickly to restore all power, but we still do not have a specific time as to when it will be fully restored.”
