Overnight violence in north St. Louis leaves four dead

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Four people were killed in three separate shootings in north city overnight, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said Thursday.

Police were called to the intersection of Mimika and Shulte avenues around 12:20 a.m. in response to a double shooting. Authorities arrived to a find and man and woman both shot.

The victims were rushed to a local hospital where the man was pronounced dead. The woman was not conscious or breathing at the scene. She died a short time later.

About an hour earlier, police found the body of a man his 20s near Blair and St. Louis avenues.

And just after 9 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to Maffitt Avenue near N. Newstead for another shooting. Two men suffered gunshot wounds. One victim was taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition, while the other was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police do not have any suspects in any of the cases.

The city's murder count sits at 126.
