ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A memorial to St. Louis metro area first responders puts a thousand giant paper cranes on Art Hill in Forest Park. It’s part of the STL Crane Project. Each crane was folded from a 60-inch piece of paper and has a wing span of just under four feet.

After the display is finished, you can take home a crane for $10.00. All proceeds are donated to the Backstoppers.

On Saturday, there was a reading of the names of all fallen first responders.
