ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- Parents and students protested outside Grand Center Arts Academy in St. Louis Tuesday afternoon.

They are upset with the school board for letting Lynne Glickert's contract as principal expire and deciding to hire former Clayton High School principal Dr. Louise Losos.

Dr. Losos resigned as principal at Clayton High School after allegations she set a fake Facebook page to monitor students.

"My child goes to school here, and we believe that trust is important," Mindy Bates said. "We can't trust her."

Dr. Losos declined to speak with Fox 2 News, but the Grand Center Arts Academy School board said that she has an "outstanding" educational background and "deserves a second chance."

The board met with parents and students after the protest.

The board would not reveal details of why Glickert was not retained as principal, did say that there was a "philosophical difference."

Many parents and students said they want Glickert back and if the board did not reconsider they would leave the school.

Parents told FOX 2 they expect the board to meet with them again and "possibly" reconsider the decision regarding who is the principal.

Dr. Losos is scheduled to start as principal July 1.
