ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI) - The annual Winter Wonderland Holiday Light show opens to the public at Tilles Park next week.

And hopefully by then it will be dry.

Following this week`s heavy rains, the park`s sink holes filled with water, leaving some of the decorations and lights underwater.

"We expect these to go down in a couple of days, probably today tomorrow or the next day, and they will be back to where they can turn the power on," said Park Operations Manager Jim Gerken.

The park has always had sink holes which fill with water in the spring, but no one can remember this much water in them this close to Christmas.

"It makes it look like some of the artificial trees are getting some water,' said park visitor Dave Hass, "but it will go away."

The St. Louis County Winter Wonderland opens next Wednesday evening and remains open until January 2.
