Pedestrian in accident near Osage Beach

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. (AP) – Osage Beach police say a southwest Missouri man died when he was hit by car as he tried to cross a highway.

The accident occurred Wednesday afternoon on Highway 54 in Osage Beach.

Police say 44-year-old Timothy M. Miesner, of Gravois Mills, walked into the path of a car being driven by a 17-year-old from Roach, Missouri.

Miesner’s car had run out of gas and he was crossing the highway with gas he had received from a nearby business when he was hit.

No charges will be filed against the driver of the car.
