ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A 25-year-old man is in stable condition after being struck by a car in north St. Louis early Monday morning.
According to Leah Freeman, a spokesperson for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the accident took place around 5 a.m. in the 5900 block of Lotus, near Hamilton.
A witness told investigators that an older-model light gray or silver sedan struck the victim. As the witness ran over to help the pedestrian, the driver opened her door and asked if the man was okay. When the witness said he was calling police, the driver sped off.
