(KTVI) -Pete Rose was first banned for life from playing baseball, and banned from being inducted in the Hall of Fame. Now, Topps is erasing Rose from its baseball cards.
According to Examiner.com, Rose isn’t mentioned on any baseball card starting with the 2013 season. Topps said it was a “simple decision” to not put Rose a card, but did not give any specifics.
Baseball fans will remember Rose gambled on baseball that effectively put an end to his career. Other players like Mark McGuire and Barry Bonds, who have been accused of illegal doping, haven’t been entered in the Hall of Fame but they are still featured on the baseball cards.
