FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – Saturday afternoon Missouri State Highway Patrol Captain Ron Johnson, St. Louis police Chief Sam Dotson, Ferguson police Chief Tom Jackson and St. Louis County police Chief John Belmar walked hand in hand holding an NAACP banner.

Organizers hope the event will help rebuild trust and begin a dialogue about how we can become a more united and integrated city across all lines of culture, race, politics and faith.

During the rally people were also encouraged to register to vote to help make their voices heard.

Police officers also walked through the crowd handing out water, shaking hands and hugging people.
