ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- First responders and their supporters swarmed downtown St. Louis Sunday morning for a good cause. The inaugural Boots and Badges 5K was held in downtown St. Louis, starting near Kiener Plaza.

Proceeds from the race will benefit The BackStoppers, Inc. The 5K was originally schedule for November 2014 to be held in conjunction with Guns 'n Hoses, but both were postponed due to the unrest following events in Ferguson and St. Louis.
