FORISTELL, MO (KTVI) - A 27-year-old woman was taken into custody Thursday night after shooting and killing her husband in their Forsitell home.
According to Warren County Sheriff Kevin Harrison, the incident happened around 7:50 p.m. in the 2900 block of Old Cotton Road. The woman contacted authorities and said she shot her husband in the chest following a physical altercation.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found the woman’s 30-year-old husband dead on the living room floor.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
Two children were at the home at the time of the shooting. They’re being cared for by a relative.
No charges have been filed as of yet and the investigation remains ongoing.
Foristell is located about 45 miles west of St. Louis.
