ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- St. Louis city police are stepping up foot patrols in the Bevo Mill area after a deadly hammer attack early Sunday morning. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports increased foot patrols will happen during the day and night.

Police have arrested a 15 and 16-year-old in the murder of 32-year-old Zemir Begic.

Begic was in his car on Itaska Avenue early Sunday when several young people approached him and attacked his vehicle.

He was hit with hammers when he got out. He died a short time later.

There is no word on a motive.
