Suspect charged in North County homicide investigation

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO – Percy Lindsey faces murder charges after police found him at the scene of a homicide investigation.

Lindsey, a 44-year-old man from North County, is a resident of a halfway house located on the 9900 block of Glen Owen Drive off of Chambers Road. Police discovered the deceased body of an adult male behind the residence at 4:00 p.m. on March 30.

When police found Lindsey, he had blood on his shoes, pants, and jacket. A blood trail lead from Lindsey’s room to the place the body was found.

Lindsey is being held on a $500,000 bond.

The victim has been identified as Darryl Billups, who was also a resident of the halfway house.

Detectives from the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons are conducting the investigation.
