Police: ‘Redskins Bandit’ strikes again

COLLINSVILLE, IL (KTVI)-  Police are searching for a man who robbed a Metro East gas station overnight.

Surveillance video shows the suspect walking into the BP gas station located in the 8400 block of Collinsville Road.

The armed robber has been labeled the 'Washington Redskins Bandit’ because he wears the same sweatshirt when he strikes. Investigators believe he's the same suspect wanted in connection with at least three to four armed robberies at gas stations across the metro east, in Fairview Heights and Swansea.

He is described as an African-American male, 6'0", with a thin build.

The Fairview Heights Police Department is offering an additional $5000.00 Reward to help identify the suspect .
