FLORISSANT, MO (KTVI) - St. Louis County Police say they're looking for a suicidal man who is wanted for assault.

His name is Frank Howard, and he's 74 years old. Authorities say he was last seen in the 4100 block of N. Lindbergh around 5:00 a.m.

Howard reportedly attempted to commit suicide Friday morning and then assaulted his wife. He left in an unknown direction.

Howard is a black male, 5'11" tall, 190 pounds with short gray hair.

Howard was wearing a white t-shirt and black jeans.  Authorities think he is still in the North St. Louis County area but warns that he should not be approached by the public because of his mental state.

A Missouri Endangered Person Advisory has been issued by the Missouri Highway Patrol for Howard.

Anyone with information should call the St. Louis County Police at 314-889-2341.
