ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is searching for the owners of stolen property.

After conducting a search warrant in August, officers seized numerous suspected stolen items. Attempts to identify the owners have been unsuccessful.

Police believe the items, which include mostly lawn equipment, were stolen during burglaries occurring in the Sixth District, specifically Walnut Park East, Walnut Park West and the North Pointe neighborhoods.

Any citizen who has been the victim of a burglary or theft in the past year is encouraged to visit North Patrol this weekend to view the items.

Citizens should bring with them a police report complaint number, proof of identification and proof of ownership if available.

Police will display unclaimed property outside of the North Patrol Division, located at 4014 N. Union on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
