ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Police are looking for suspects who have vandalized six area churches. They believe the same suspect or suspects is responsible for all of the incidents.

St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church is recovering from a recent fire and vandalism. Other churches are dealing with the same thing. St. Louis City Police say that at least six churches have been burned or vandalized since July 1st.

Community members say the motives seem different from last years church arsons because of the racial slurs. They also say it`s a devastating blow that affects thousands of people across the metro.

The ATF, FBI and Regional Bomb Unit are assisting St. Louis City Police in the investigation.
