ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department along with the City of St. Louis will deploy additional resources to three north-west St. Louis neighborhoods starting Monday, February 2nd. The new areas to be policed are Hamilton Heights, Wells-Goodfellow and parts of the West End.
The city began its new hotspot initiative last week.
Residents in these areas can expect to see more uniformed and plain-clothes officers, as well as marked and unmarked vehicle patrols.
Chief Sam Dotson says arrests will be made to keep criminals off of the streets.
