ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)—St. Louis police have identified two of the victims in the fatal shooting in the 4400 block of Itaska Friday afternoon. Paige Schaefer, 23, was killed along with James Lacey, 47. Both had been shot in the head. Police were called to the scene around 2:30pm by a third shooting victim, a 21-year woman who has yet to be identified. She also had a head wound but managed to dial 9-1-1. She is listed in critical/unstable condition at an area hospital.

Police are looking for a suspect described as a black male wearing a sweatshirt.

Police now believe that the triple-shooting on Itaska and is connected to a shooting in an alley of the 4200 block of S. 37th, near Grace Avenue. In that shooting, an unidentified 54-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound to the head. Neighbors said they heard gunshots around 3:30pm, but didn’t call police. The victim was discovered a little while later. St. Louis police say she is the mother of Paige Schaefer, the victim from the Itaska shooting.  She is in critical/unstable condition at an area hospital.

Police believe the same suspect is involved. The investigation is ongoing.
