CAMDEN POINT, Mo. – A Powerball winner from a small town in western Missouri is giving back to the community by footing the bill for a new fire and ambulance facility, KMBC reports.
Mark Hill won nearly $200 million in a November 2012 Powerball drawing. The fire station is expected to be dedicated and open for service in mid-July.
Hill and his family decided to fund the project after volunteer firefighters saved Mark’s fathers life on two separate occasions.
“My wife and I were able to pay them back,” Hill said.
Camden Point is located in Platte County, approximately 30 miles north of Kansas City.
