COLLINSVILLE, Ill – A southern Illinois landmark has mysteriously been sold on April 1st.  That is according to a tweet from the Brook’s Catsup Bottle.  The message posted to social media reads, “Financing came thru early April 1. on my way to retirement in sunny FLA #LivingLarge”

The April Fool’s Day post underlines a real conundrum for the owners of the roadside attraction.  The asking price for the 65-year-old piece of Americana is $200,000.  So far no bids have been placed on the “World’s Largest Bottle of Catsup.”   It went up for sale last July.

The helicopter was a nice touch in the prank photo.
