(CNN) — At least three people were killed in an earthquake that struck central China on Monday, China’s state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
The magnitude-5.9 earthquake was centered eight miles east of Chabu and 110 miles south-southeast of Lanzhou, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The quake struck at a depth of 6.1 miles.
There were no immediate reports of major damage.
