(KTVI) - A steady-moving cold front is marching across the St. Louis area with a narrow band of snow.  The precipitation began as freezing drizzle around 3 pm and changed over to snow at 4 pm.  Snow accumulations for the metro St. Louis area will range from 1/2" to 1".  South of St. Louis, less than 1/2" can be expected and areas north of St. Louis could see 1" to 2" in a few spots.  Even though snowfall totals are minor, falling temperatures will create very slippery conditions into the evening with re-freezing.  Look for an overnight low of 12 in St. Louis.  Sunshine will return and the cold surge will be brief with Thursday's high of 28, and Friday's high rebounding to 46 and the weekend highs 55-60.
