Rap mogul 50 Cent makes donation to St. Louis Area Food Bank

FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – Rap mogul 50 Cent was in Ferguson Tuesday to present a donation of $5,000.50 to the St. Louis Area Food Bank. The donation was in partnership with Major Brands, Beam Suntory and the United Way of Greater St. Louis.

50 Cent made the donation at the newly opened Ferguson Community Center on Smith Avenue in Ferguson, which was attended by officials from the city.

The St. Louis Area Food Bank, a member of the United Way supplies over 500 food pantries in the St. Louis Area, 5 of which are located in the Ferguson area.

The food bank provides more than 28 million meals each year in 26 Missouri and Illinois counties.
