Red Cross Closing Shelter In Florissant

FLORISSNT, MO (KTVI) – The American Red Cross is closing its shelter in Florissant, at the James J. Eagan Civic Center.  The shelter was opened this past Saturday, in response to the powerful storms that rolled through north St. Louis County.

Volunteers will serve their last meals Tuesday night for dinner and shut down the shelter at 8:00 pm.

Since the opening of the shelter, volunteers have served over 2,700 meals and tended to the needs of over 100 people.
