ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – St. Louis had the warmest year on record in 2012.  But, according to the National Weather Service, this year has been cooler than most.  The average temperature is two degrees below normal and eight degrees cooler than last year.

The difference in rain precipitation totals from 2012-2013 is significant.  Last year’s below average rainfall led to drought conditions.  This year the above average rain in April led to flooding along the Mississippi river that is just now subsiding.
