Rescan your TV to get FOX 2’s broadcast signal

News

In a pre-holiday message to consumers, an FBI field office is warning that “smart TVs” — televisions equipped with internet streaming and facial recognition capabilities — may be vulnerable to intrusion.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — FOX 2 has transitioned to a new over-the-air channel. You may need to rescan your television set to receive our over-the-air signal.

KTVI-TV will continue to be available to cable and satellite subscribers. Please contact your cable or satellite company for details. More information about the transition can be obtained from the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC.

KTVI is required to change our “RF” channel for the Federal Communications Commission’s repack spectrum program. This requires us to replace our transmitter, our broadcast main, and backup tower antennas, because the FCC is rearranging the broadcast spectrum for television providers in order to free up radio waves.

How to rescan your TV:

The first step is to find your remote and look for a button that says menu or setup. Click that button and follow the on-screen instructions to have the TV automatically scan to search for all available channels.
