ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Community activist Reverend Al Sharpton is speaking out about the latest New York Times’ article about Officer Darren Wilsons’ account of Michael Browns shooting .  Sharpton says he’s heard similar stories about self defense, such as in the Trayvon Martin case.

Sharpton got involved in the Michael Brown case  the day after 28-year-old Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson shot the unarmed teen.

“Now we’ve got a report that Darren Wilson said he was in fear of his life.  The only gun there was Darren Wilson’s.  Strange parallels in all these cases.” said Al Sharpton – National Action Network.

Sharpton also announced he’s returning to Ferguson, October 31st through November 3rd.     He says the four day Michael Brown weekend is symbolic of the four hours  Brown’s body was left in the street after he was shot several times.
