ST.CHARLES COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – A road rage incident in St. Charles County is caught on camera.

The video showing a man kicking a car has been viewed more than 200,000 times on Facebook.

Dalton Bowers and Corey Abercrombie were headed to lunch when they pulled up behind a black minivan and red sedan along an exit ramp from Highway 70 near Mid Rivers Mall Drive.

They said they heard yelling and then the man in the minivan jumped out of his car and started punching and kicking the sedan.

Bowers said the man was pulling on the door handle trying to get into the car.

When Bowers and Abercrombie pulled up next to the sedan they noticed that the driver was a man in his 70’s or 80’s. They said he was visibly shaken up.

Bowers and Abercrombie only caught a few seconds of the attack but they say it went on for about two minutes.

They said there was major damage to the passenger side of the red sedan.

In Missouri there is no statute on road rage.

A Missouri Highway Patrol spokesperson said in these types of situations the person can be charged with assault or property damage.

An investigation is ongoing.
