ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Congrats to both St. Louis and Kansas City for having tasty beers. The Washington Post’s Beer Madness tournament championship came down to Boulevard’s Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale, from Kansas City, and Schlafly’s Kolsch, from St. Louis. And the winner is…both!
Schlafly’s Kolsch was voted best beer in the country by online voters. But Tank 7 was the choice of a blind tasting panel of both Washington Post readers and judges.
Public bracket voting took place this past weekend, with Schlafly pulling ahead in the popular vote on Sunday, winning by just under 1,000 votes.
