Students dodge bullets as car crashes into St. Louis school bus

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Students were forced to dodge gunfire after a car crashes into their school bus. The car hit the bus which ran into the front porch of a house at Leonora and Floy which is just east of Goodfellow.

Students say bullets were flying as they got off the crashed bus. Police say 13 students from Kipp Middle School were on the bus. They were shaken up but none went to a hospital.

Police say a 20-year-old woman in a red car may have been dodging bullets when she hit the bus around 2:30pm. She was shot in the leg. Police say a man in the car suffered a broken arm.  Students say the school bus driver had a gruesome injury to her chin from hitting he steering wheel. All three, and possibly one other adult, were taken to a hospital. Police say none of the injuries is life-threatening.

Police weren`t sure of the amount of gunfire, but students say there was a lot. They were diving to the ground.

Police say at least one shooter was in a black SUV. They are looking for that vehicle. Students say there was also at least one gunman on foot. There's been no arrest and no weapons recovered from the scene.
